Does "no scanner mentioned" mean they refer out for scans?

No. It means the website we read does not mention one. Some practices have a scanner and don't say; some refer out; some use a nearby scanning centre. Ask before you pitch.

Is "planning approved" an opening date?

No. Permission is granted; the register entry is usually months away, and some premises never open. Every card says "First seen by DentalGraph on {date}. Not an opening date." Where an existing practice was expanding, the typical gap from the first sign to registration was 282 days (90 cases, measured by hand, 27 Aug 2026).

Do you read websites for scanners outside the UK?

No. Equipment, prices and brands are read from UK practice websites only. For the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Ireland we hold name, website, Google rating and implant services from the website.

Premises with planning permission for dental use and no register entry yet, as the call list "Premises approved, not yet open", 122 premises counted 7 Sep 2026, each with the council's decision, the applicant and a link to the council's record (council planning records, Companies House, the care register).
Practices whose company took a secured loan in the last 90 days, as the call list "Just took a loan", 130 practices counted 7 Sep 2026, and every loan with its filing date on the practice's Ownership tab (Companies House).
Which practices do name a scanner: a CBCT scanner on 1,995 of 14,153 UK practice websites, an intraoral scanner on 2,171, counted 7 Sep 2026, each with the date we read the page and the sentence we found (their website).

Whether a practice has a scanner it doesn't mention. "Not on their website" means we read the site on the date shown and it does not say. It is never a "no".
How far away the nearest practice naming a CBCT scanner is. The card below shows the row we intend to calculate; it is not in the product today. Until it is, open Find practices, set "CBCT scanner (3D X-ray) mentioned" to yes, and switch to the Practice map.
What a loan is for. A secured loan at Companies House is a public fact for your timing, never for your opener. For your information only. Never mention it to the practice.
